We do not set homework for students (Except spelling words)but all online reinforcement tasks are available through student logins at home as well as at our workshops.
How often do I pay?
We invoice clients twice a term. Usually 2 x 5 week blocks (depending on term duration). Payment is in advance of tuition sessions.
Other arrangements can be made such as fortnightly installments if required.
Can Back2Basics extend students that are not struggling with their learning?
At Back2Basics Tuition individual student programmes are based on assessments undertaken, therefore extending all students regardless of where they sit within the New Zealand Curriculum. Our students who sit above the expected level for a child of their age enjoy the challenges of new learning that may not have been introduced within their school experiences.
Do you teach high school students?
We do have some high school students. These are normally students who require extra confidence and revisiting of prior learning to help them access the high school curriculum. We support and challenge these students to believe in themselves and their ability to achieve which is often the main barrier to their success . Our high school students are our bravest students and we just love watching their confidence grow as they experience success, sometimes for the first time in many years!
